• Car gone

  My Rover was picked up some 10 weeks ago by Reconditioned engines .co.uk Have tried to phone all of their bogus numbers, tried E mails, nothing. Reported it as stolen to police. Still waiting for any sort of reply from anyone. Trading standards useless. I often wonder why I pay taxes.

  I'm sorry I didn't see these comments before handing over my car to this company (now trading as Reconditioned Engines). They have a very glossy website full of guarantees and promises but once they have your car they hold you to ransom and rip you. They are complete conmen. They said it would take a week to recon the engine but held on to my car for three months with me chasing on a daily basis and them refusing to return my calls or emails. When I eventually got the car back it was a wreck.

  I have finally got my car back after 4 months,but I had to use a solicitor and threaten them with an injunction.The company went into liquidation on 23/12/10, the new co. is bray engineering ltd,this lot will have many trading names but most of there business comes from reconditionedengines.co.uk !!!!! DO NOT USE!!!

  these conmen shouldn`t even be aloud an internet site,which i was sucked in on.in october 26 2010. they were very polite explaining what they do to engine,brill i thought.they asked for money up front i said what for for new block ok,500.1month later iphone talk to RONNY the chain has snapped we NEED more money how much 1200.why?for chain for block for rings valves.YOU ALREADY 500 FOR BLOCK i said he said special order why didnt you phone me no reply to the question,so ipaid.iwas p*****off big time xmas is one week away iphone speak to RONNY he says after xmas before new year.iwas made up told customer have engine in car for6th jan.still no engine phone upafter new year speak to RONNY he says chain hasn`t arrived,when?don`t know 2weeks later phone HIM again now its we waiting for block make up your mind isaid block orchain block HEsaid.we get a phone call lastweek sayin engine is ready couldwe have the reat 1140 ok i said payed still waiting for engine customer is taken them to court .IAM GOING DOWN THERE TO PICK ENGINE UP AND SOME. VERY UNHAPPY PERSONS

  After reading reviews from many unsatisfied people i can only add my total dissatisfaction with this company who destroy lives for their personal gain. They are a total disgrace to the meaning of honest business. They have traded under many names but their address remains The Engine Center 169 Brent Road, Southall, Middlesex, UB2 5LE Tel: 020 8744 7007 I picked them up through their reconditioned-engines website and was conned into letting them have my car due to the very good quotation they gave me, and the very good professional talking of their salesman. Once thay have your car, they strip it of the engine and then tell you all sorts of other stuff is wrong and the price has gone up 30%. If you refuse to go ahead then you ahve to pay £400-£500 to get your car back in bits. Don't use them!

  I was promise 7days for my car to be repair, they have my car since 02/11/2010, I've called countless times for an update on my car and they promise to call me back all the time which they never do. They have my car and money £1600 and no news as to when my car will be ready, all their manage are always never available and just this morning I was threatened with violent.The police is now aware of the threat to my life and trading standard is also involve but my solicitor will take charge from now. if you no anyone who need to repair their car PLEASE DON'T RECOMMEND THEM.

• CONING IDIOTS!!!

  i took my car to these people over a year ago, all that was wrong was i blew my turbo, taking it to these has blew my bank account, these are connig people that have no idea on how to fix a car all they no how to do is mess ur life up, these take to long take to much money and take the mickey, if u take ur car to these u need 2 see i psycyatrist coz u have sumthing worng with ur head. ive paid 3000 the said there reconing my engine and turbo cams boost pipes intercooler flush and all sorts, whoever else has had problems with this company get in touch and start a petition coz wel all go to court together to get the cowboys sent down!!!

  first of all i am deply sorry for those how gon throw this i am the letast victem of this unhummen peoples 3rd october i drove in to deep water neare clapham and bartarsea on latchmear rd so the car got stop in the water i was't the only one there there ware about 4 or 5 other drivers aswell i could not start the engine after traing so many time i call the AA. i toke the car my local machanice and he told me its need new engine it will cost about 5000 it sound alot so one of my friend advise me that should try the internet and chcke that if i can find some other way so i filled up the inqury form and the same day have recived a phone call from these people the called ronney and sound verey helpe full and i explaned every thing on the phone to him that this what happen to the car can you fixe it or not he said no problem at all we will re manufacter the engine for 1295 and it will take 5 working days to fixe the car, after 5 days thay call me that we have now strip the engine and we will send you report i said to my self what report you supose to fixe the car but when i chack the report wich thay send me throw e-mail was completly difrent from 1295 the price whent to 2950 thay said the price we gave you is only to remanufactar your engine but in oder to start your engine you need to all these parta all theas parts are extra parts are as follow labour 250 oilfilter and gaskit 85.00 cluch kit 143.00 air fitter 29.00 head 375.00 clean breather system 48.00 water pump 87.00 thermostate 29.00 flush inter cooler 30.00 Regas AC 80.00 gear oil 25.00 antifreeze 25.00 sundies 25.00 and Engine COU 1295.00 all to gather 2519.00 + vat 2959.00 bay that time in the back of my head i siad these people are not good people but at that time i dont now what happen to me i siad to them just do it but i asked for some discount but thay refused to give after asking them so many time thay said we will do it for 2800.00 i said ok don and i said when you will fixe the car thay siad after you pay us i siad to them that you guys have my car and every thing but thay said no you have to pay us the full amount then i asked again if i pay you the full amount when the car will be ready he he then again said 5 to 7 days since then it's coming up to 7th week ant the car is stile not fixe now thay came withe the new thing thay are now asking me to pay them 849.00+vat more because the car need new disle pump and without it thay can't start the car i dont know what to do after reding all this masseges i am more confused bay the way i am a Chauffeur and i drive for living and from the third of october have not earnd a penny my car is BMW 5 Series 20D 2007 can any body advise me my e-mail add is afg786786@yahoo.com thanx may god safe even my Enemy from people like them
