• Simply the best

  My wife was almost giving up the hope to see properly. Lots of tries with high street opticians like Specsavers, Optical Express. Every time with disappointment, every time a different optician was serving and less hope to solve the problem. Until, eventually, reading reviews on this website, we found David. The examination was highly professional, personal, careful, and reassuring using the latest equipment, with clear explanations about the problems we have. A week later spectacles were ready. My wife could not hold her smile having putting them on. Much clearer and better view solving astigmatism and a big short sight problem. We chose the most expensive option of spectacles available, but it was worth every penny. We have experienced a really high standard of expertise and service. Would definitely recommend David if you have complex problems with your eye vision and about to give up the hope.

• APPRECIATION LETTER

  Just a note to express my thanks for your opthamlmic service. The care taken with both then diagnosis and the lens preparation was meticulous. The final fitting of the glasses was spectacularly careful and reassuring. I am certain that the standard of your work is way above average and the care taken is a pointer for other optometrists. The level of practice is very high and I have not met such before outside the operating theatre.

• Hows this for service

  I used my Amsler Grid for the first time in weeks, discovered I had a black blob in the bottom right hand corner, with the lines all on a curve. Knowing this was bad made an appointment to see David on a Saturday morning, ( by the way David and I are both ex Southern Africans). The examination was as thorough as always. This showed I had a really bad problem which required an emergency trip to the hospital, - arrangements were made as quickly and efficiently, to get me there within the hour. When thanking the staff I was told it was Davids prompt phone call that helped. I have much to thank David for. My advise is use the grid as often as David tells you, do not leave this important home eye test to chance

• Very Happy

  Having worn glasses for the past forty-something years I was used to the (old fashioned) "stick a lens in the test frame and read the chart on the wall" type of eye test. Having heard about the additional tests available at this practice I decided to give them a try. I was not disappointed. David fully explained all parts of the procedure in terms that I could understand. I did not fully appreciate the service I was getting until the lens manufacturer, one of the most highly regarded worldwide, made the lenses wrong. No query, no moaning, just 100% effort from David to make sure my glasses were remade in the shortest possible time. They have me down for a re-test in 2 years time. I will not even be thinking about going anywhere else. Any company can look good when things go without problems, but unfortunately that can never be guaranteed 100% of the time.. It is how they deal with problems, especially ones not of their making, that marks the companies worth sticking with. This is one of them.

• Service and care

  The overwhelming feeling when one enters the premises is that they genuinely care about you and the service they give. You are given a very thorough examination using what seemed to be state of the art optical equipment and at no time was there any sense of being rushed through the procedures or the subsequent discussions. The variety of spectacles and lenses available was comprehensive with prices to fit all pockets. After years of being subjected to the impersonal production line systems of the national chainstore opticians, I recommend without reservation the expertise, professionalism, personal care and attention to detail with which they run their practice.

• Lovely Practice

  As a Local eye Doctor I am well placed to comment on the practice adn the eye test I had done. Lovely location and the shop is beautifully presented with very friendly and helpful staff. David has worked with us in the hospital and goes that extra mile to offer the highest quality of service. The equipment he has is the very latest and these days this really helps. His range of glasses and knowledge about the variuos lens is superb. I would highly recommend him as a local practice.

• My recent routine eye test

  Upon my arrival, the welcoming and friendly atmosphere of the premises was immediately noticable and immediately put me at ease. As for the eye test itself, this was most thorough and unhurried. The modern equipment available to David allowed for an accuarate assessment of my eyesight - in my case one eye slightly weaker than the other but not worryingly so. The various stages of the examination were fully explained by David. Although I may not need to have a further sight test for another two years or so, I know for sure where I will be going for it. And I would certainly pass on the details of Harefield Opticians to anyone I may come across who is enquiring about their own optical needs.
